LACE was a community-based, collaborative project centered around questions of Labour Mobility and Community Participation in the Extractive Industries in the Yukon Territory. The project took place between 2014 and 2019. We collaborated especially with the First Nation of Nacho Nyäk Dun in the Yukon, Canada. Team: Principal investigator Gertrude Saxinger and research collaborator Susanna Gartler, both based at University of Vienna, Austria and members of the Austrian Polar Research Institute and Co-PI Chris Southcott (Lakehead University, Canada). Funded primarily by RESDA (SSHRC), Yukon Government and Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science, and Research.
